4.1 Respect for Intellectual Property
BowTel respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects Users to do the same. It is BowTel's policy to respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law.
4.2 Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please submit a notice to our designated agent with the following information:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- A description of where the allegedly infringing material is located on the Platform (e.g., listing URL);
- Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner;
- Your physical or electronic signature.

4.3 Counter-Notification
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, and phone number;
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in Calgary, Alberta;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
4.4 Repeat Infringers
BowTel may, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of Users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.
4.5 Canadian Copyright Act
This policy is designed to comply with the Copyright Act (R.S.C., 1985, c. C-42), including the notice-and-notice regime established under sections 41.25 and 41.26. Unlike the U.S. DMCA “takedown” model, Canadian law requires a notice-and-notice approach. BowTel will:
- Forward any compliant notice of claimed infringement to the User who posted the content;
- Retain records related to the notice for six months (or longer if court proceedings are commenced);
- Take reasonable steps to inform the claimant of any counter-notification received.
